Who We Are
Founded by Jamie Kian Pennington, JKP Auto Care was built on grit, determination, and a lifelong obsession with cars. We are IMI-certified, BMW-trained experts who possess the technical mastery to handle everything from standard combustion engines to hybrids.
But what really sets us apart is our attitude, we treat every single vehicle with the absolute care and respect it deserves. We love what we do, and it shows in our work.

Briefly About Us
JKP AutoCare, from the ground up isn’t just a business, it’s the result of a lifelong obsession with the machine and a refusal to be side lined.
My journey started with a BMW IMI apprenticeship in vehicle maintenance and Level 2 Hybrid certification. I was trained to the highest industry standards. Life threw a massive curveball. From battling Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) since childhood to surviving a tumor removal and a life-threatening battle with septic arthritis, I was told my physical limits would define my career.
I spent time as a technician, a service advisor, and even working heavy machinery in a quarry—but I knew I was meant for more. I decided that "one day" had to become today.
I’m putting my foot down. I’m building a business, a brand, and a community.

Do you need to use my water or electricity?
No, we don't need a thing from you! Our detailing van is fully equipped with its own power supply (generator) and a large onboard tank of purified, spot-free water. We can detail your car on your drive, at your workplace, or almost anywhere.
What areas around Leeds do you cover?
We are based in Horsforth, Leeds. and cover the entire city alongside surrounding areas including Horsforth, Headingley, Roundhay, Chapel Allerton, Pudsey, and Morley. We also travel to nearby parts of West Yorkshire for multi-car bookings or premium detailing/servicing packages—just ask!
What happens if it rains? (The Yorkshire Weather Question)
We are used to the Leeds weather! For interior/exterior details, maintenance valets, and light servicing, we can work under our professional pop-up canopy to keep your car protected.
However, if the weather is hit by extreme storms or high winds or if you have booked a high-end ceramic coating that requires strict moisture control—we will contact you to safely reschedule.
My car is heavily soiled with pet hair/mould. Is there an extra charge?
Our standard package prices assume a normal level of dirt. If your car has heavy pet hair integration, severe mud, or mould, it requires specialist chemicals, extra time, and extra equipment to safely remove. This in turn could cause extra charges if not discussed prior to booking.
Can you service my car on my driveway, and will it void my warranty?
Yes! The vast majority of routine maintenance—such as oil and filter changes, brake pad replacements, spark plugs, and cabin filters—can be done safely right on your driveway or at your workplace.
Furthermore, thanks to UK block exemption laws, having your car serviced by an independent specialist like us will not void your manufacturer’s warranty, as we use original equipment (OE) or equivalent quality parts and follow official manufacturer service schedules.
How should I prepare my car before you arrive?
To help us get straight to work, we kindly ask that you remove all personal items, rubbish, and loose change from the glovebox, door pockets, and boot. If you have child seats and would like the fabric underneath cleaned, please remove them before we arrive.
How do I pay for my service?
We make it as easy as possible. We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards via our mobile card reader on the day, or cash once the job is completed and you are 100% happy with the results.
Are you insured?
Yes, absolutely. We are fully insured with comprehensive public liability and 'damage to vehicles worked upon' insurance. Your pride and joy is in completely safe, professional hands.
What kind of parts do you use?
We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or equivalent where possible to ensure quality and safety.
What kind of maintenance jobs can you do mobile?
We handle standard interim and full mechanical services, brake replacements, fluid top-ups, and diagnostics. Because we are mobile, we specialize in jobs that can be cleanly and safely completed on-site.
For heavy, highly complex engine overhauls or jobs requiring a full hydraulic workshop lift, we will let you know upfront and can advise you on the best course of action.
