Terms & Conditions

Comprehensive Mobile Detailing & Mechanical Servicing Agreement

NOTICE: This document is a legally binding contract. By engaging with JKP AutoCare Ltd, you (the "Client") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

1.  DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION

1.1 "Company" refers to JKP AutoCare Ltd. "Client" refers to the individual or entity booking the service. "Vehicle" refers to any car, van, or transport unit provided for service.

2.  SERVICE ENVIRONMENT & ACCESS

2.1 Access Rights: The Client warrants they have the authority to grant access to the location. If work is on private property not owned by the Client, the Client must obtain written permission from the owner/management.

2.2 Safety Standards: The Company reserves the right to terminate service if the environment is deemed unsafe. Mechanical work (lifting vehicles) will only be performed on solid, level ground. We will not lift vehicles on gravel, dirt, or slopes exceeding 3 degrees.

2.3 Utilities: The Client must provide access to a 240V mains power supply and a water tap within 25 meters of the vehicle, unless "Full-Self-containment" was specifically booked.

2.4 Utilities: Job sheet will be complete for every vehicle, before work is commenced, by the Company. This will include work required, any damage highlight before work commences and any other details relevant. This document must be signed by the Client, before any work proceeds.

3.  MECHANICAL SERVICING & REPAIRS

3.1  Parts & Warranty

All parts supplied by the Company carry the manufacturer's warranty. Labor is warrantied for 12 months or 10,000 miles (whichever occurs first) against defects in workmanship. Customer-Supplied Parts: If the Client provides parts, the Company offers NO WARRANTY on labour or the part. If the supplied part is incorrect or fails, the Client remains liable for full labour costs and any storage fees. – The company will reserve the right to not carry out work with parts supplied by the client.

3.2  Fluid & Filter Services

Oil capacities and specifications are followed per manufacturer guidelines. The Company is not responsible for engine failure due to preexisting internal sludge, oil consumption issues, or sensor failures that occur after the service but are unrelated to the oil change itself.

3.3  Brake Systems

Brake bedding-in is the Client's responsibility. The Company is not liable for "brake squeal" or warped discs resulting from improper bedding in or high-heat cycling within the first 200 miles post-service.

4.  DETAILING & COSMETIC SERVICES

4.1  Paint Correction & Polishing

The Company uses non-destructive paint depth readings where possible. However, the Client acknowledges that paint thickness varies. We are not liable for clear-coat failure on vehicles with prior "smart repairs" or non-factory paintwork.

4.2  Interior Cleaning

While we use professional-grade chemicals, we are not responsible for: (a) Sagging headliners due to aged adhesive; (b) Brittle plastic trim/ clips that break during normal handling; (c) Damage to aftermarket electronics/screens not designed for moisture exposure.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: Total liability for any single claim shall not exceed the total price paid for the service. We, the company, are NOT liable for "Loss of Use," car hire costs, loss of business, or consequential damages resulting from a service delay or mechanical fault.

5.  BOOKING, CANCELLATION & DEPOSITS

5.1 Deposits: Non-refundable deposits are required for all mechanical parts orders and detailing packages exceeding £200, if requested by the company.

5.2 Cancellations: Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice incur a 50% labour charge. "No-shows" (where the technician arrives but cannot access the vehicle) will be billed at 100% of the quoted rate – at the discretion of the company.

5.3 Weather: Detailing is an outdoor-sensitive process. We reserve the right to reschedule in the event of rain, frost, or high winds without financial penalty to the Company.

5.4 Scheduling: The company reserves the right to refuse engaging in business with any client(s).

6.  CLIENT DISCLOSURE OBLIGATIONS

The Client MUST disclose: (1) Any known oil/fluid leaks; (2) Battery health issues; (3) non-standard modifications (re-maps, air suspension);

(4) Areas of the vehicle that have been previously repainted; (5) Any information that is relevant when the company provides services.

7.  PAYMENT & LIEN

Payment is due strictly upon completion. The Company retains a Lien over the vehicle; if an invoice is unpaid, we may retain the keys and/or the vehicle or return to the site to remove parts installed (e.g., brake pads) where safe to do so.

8.  GOVERNING LAW

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be settled via the Small Claims Court of our choosing.
